How it works

Three steps, seven minutes, and the result appears immediately on screen.

Three steps

The whole thing works comfortably on a phone.

1

Answer the items

Fifty statements. For each you tap one of five circles to say how much it applies to you. There are no right or wrong answers.

2

See your character

Immediately on screen: your character, its description, your strongest side, and a historical figure known for the same quality. You can save it as an image.

3

Get the full write-up

If you want it, leave an email address and we will send the full guide for your character once it is ready. This is optional.

What is the test based on?

Briefly, and openly.

The Big Five

The most widely used and most extensively validated model of personality in psychology. It describes a person along five traits.

The five traits

Emotional stability, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness and conscientiousness. Fifty items, ten per trait, with five keyed in each direction to allow acquiescent responding to be measured rather than ignored.

How a character is derived

The two highest-scoring of the five traits are taken, and the character matching that pair is shown. There are ten ways to choose two from five, hence ten characters.

What we do not claim

This is not a medical or psychological diagnosis, and TestMind has not yet been separately validated in an Uzbek adolescent sample. Treat the result as advisory. Norms, reliability and factor structure for this population are exactly what the collected data is intended to establish.

What happens to your responses?

Stated plainly.

Your name is never requested

The test asks for neither name nor age. You press the button and the first item appears.

Responses are stored without a name

Item-level responses are stored without a name and without an email address, under a separate random identifier that is deliberately never joined to any record containing contact details. They exist to improve the instrument and to make it more accurate for Uzbek adolescents.

Stored on your device

If you stop halfway you can carry on later. Once the result appears, the saved answers are deleted.

In detail

Read the privacy page — it is short and plainly written.

Ready?

Seven minutes. Which of the ten characters is yours?

Take the test

The test itself is in Uzbek only. The items are not translated: translating a personality item changes what it measures, and mixing languages within one sample would make the responses uninterpretable.
